Searching with ShopStyle + Black Friday Sales

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving! In honor of Black Friday, today’s post is all about shopping. Have you heard of ShopStyle? I’ve been using the SF-based shopping site for almost five years, which in Internet years is a lifetime. This style-centric search engine makes it easy to shop all of your favorite stores at once. Just type in what you’re looking for—say, a cocktail dress—then refine your search by color, price, size or brand. This really came in handy when I was planning my wedding and wanted to search for bridesmaids dresses by hue.

So when ShopStyle asked if I wanted to be a part of their latest campaign, I jumped at the opportunity. Or rather, I got down with it, taking inspiration from ShopStyle’s new ads showcasing style setters surrounded by their favorite fashion picks. For my own style scene, I pulled the pieces I’ve been wearing on repeat lately, like my fatigue jacket, plaid shirt and elbow-patch sweater.
