One scroll through Pinterest, and it's obvious that ombré isn’t just for your locks. From walls and wedding cakes to DIY curtains and coasters, there’s not much that hasn’t been touched by graduated hues.
When I discovered this dip-dyed sweater, I decided it was how I’d finally try the trend. It'd be much faster than letting my roots grow out and easier than attempting any arts and crafts. But, the price was more than I wanted to spend for such a trendy piece (this isn’t your classic cashmere sweater here), so I searched online for a stand-in and found this look-alike from Forever 21. Admittedly, this isn’t a store that I frequent—I’ve always found it way too overwhelming, even when I actually was 21—but shopping their website is an entirely different experience. For a fraction of the price, I’ve gone ombré.
Forever 21 sweater. Citizens of Humanity jeans (currently on sale). Sam Edelman boots. Burberry bag. Michele watch. David Yurman jewelry.
This is a great sweater - fabulous Forever 21 find! Going to the store can be overwhelming, especially if it's a large one.
