I teamed up with my blogging pals again to show you five ways to take on a trend. This time, we’re going monochrome. When it came time to claim colors, I surveyed my closet and called nude (which counts as a color, right?).
Dressing head to toe in a single hue can be challenging. The trick is to keep things interesting with varying shades and textures, so I paired this scalloped lace skirt with a sheer blouse. I usually tuck tops into this skirt, but for a more relaxed summer vibe, I knotted my blouse (this works well with chambray, too).
Staring at Stars skirt via Urban Outfitters (similar at LOFT). Spense blouse (saving up for an Equipment one). Sole Society pumps (last seen with boyfriend jeans). Gap sunglasses.
Be sure to check out Moi Contre La Vie, Cara's Cliche, Bethanimalprint, and SF Shop Girl to get the details on each gal’s singular style, and in case you missed it, see our first collaboration on black and white.
I am seriously in love with this lace skirt and the knotted blouse is the perfect touch!
