One of my favorite things about Easter is that it's the perfect excuse to bring out the colors that have been hibernating in my closet, like this yellow sweater (which is at least five years old). I love tucking everything from t-shirts to sweaters into this lace skirt, which is by far the most complimented piece of clothing I own. My friend Bethann, the adorable chica behind the fashion blog Bethanimalprint, even asked if she could borrow it once, which flattered me to no end because a) the girl is beyond stylish and b) she thinks we're the same size?! (We are not.)
I would usually pair a combo like this with a classic pair of nude pumps, but my dad was feeling snubbed, pointing out that I'd done two whole outfits posts with ankle booties (here and here) and neither of them were the ones he'd gotten me for Christmas. So, I went for dad's booties and loved that they added something unexpected to an otherwise very ladylike combo—thanks, Dad!

ReplyDeleteAnd by "pick", I meant "pic". Not enough coffee, yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sasch! Re hair: there's a brand new mousse from Bumble & Bumble that's entirely responsible for the volume!
